The HEARTest Yard is proud to invest in the dedicated nurses who care for children and adults with congenital heart disease every day.
The HEARTest Yard Nurse Scholarship Program is designed to support continuing education, encourage professional growth, and empower nurses to bring new knowledge and innovative practices back to their teams – ultimately enhancing the care provided to patients with congenital heart disease and their families.
Each year, The HEARTest Yard will award two scholarships — one to a nurse from Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital and one to a nurse from MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital — to attend a cardiac conference of their choice. The scholarship will include conference registration fees, flight to and from the conference, hotel accommodation during the conference dates and a meal per diem. Eligible applicants must have worked in the Cardiac Program at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital or MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital for a minimum of two years. Both outpatient and inpatient nurses are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by December 31, 2026.
